If you have Class I professional liability insurance with the FSMTA class I will be acceptable if you took the state mandated Sport Massage Team Training course.
Some confusion came about when some of our members saw that Class III of our professional liability addendum’s is for Sports Massage. The insurance carrier stated that Sports Massage was referring to “Russian Sports Massage” and not the type of Sports massage that was taught by our state mandated Sports Massage Team Training course.
The insurance carrier for the FSMTA will be updating their forms to ensure that this is clear on the next round of policy updates.
All Sports Massage team members must complete a Sports Team application, Give a signed copy of a W-9 to the chapter treasurer, and complete the state mandated Sports Team Massage Training to be on the Team. Are you in compliance?
