Yet again, the Flagler/Volusia chapter turned out in full for this month’s presentation on Tai Chi for Body Mechanics.
Bob Murray has been studying Tai Chi for 18 years and is a senior student of Tai Chi Master Chen Song Tso. Bob has taught for Master Chen for ten years and was the silver medalist in the 2003 International Chinese Martial Arts Tournament competing in Empty Hand Form and Weapons. Bob has been a Licensed Massage Therapist in Florida since 1996 and is currently a teaching assistant with Judith Delaney’s Neuromuscular Institute. Bob is the immediate past president of the Treasurer Coast Chapter of the FSMTA. Bob is also a tango addict. This month’s presentation was discussing the principles of Tai Chi and how they relate to proper body mechanics while giving a massage.
Yes! It’s that time again to start thinking about the FSMTA Chapter Christmas party. This year the party will be held at Vince Carter’s on LPGA and I-95 in Daytona Beach. We want this years party to be bigger and better than ever. Each ticket to the party will cost $25 per ticket the chapter will be picking up the remainder of the dinner tab so we can make it affordable for everyone to attend that wants to do so.

Make sure you purchase your tickets in advance, tickets will not be available at the door. When you purchase your ticket you will have to specify what type of entree you would like to get the choices are: Fish, Chicken, or pasta. Once your ticket has specified an entree it is locked in, if you sell or give your ticket away the entree cannot be changed.
This year due to the location of the party we will not be giving tickets away in the door prizes at the November meeting so don’t delay make sure you purchase your ticket today. You can do so by Check or Cash at our November Meeting or you can stop by 240 Ridgewood Ave in Holly Hill during regular hours 10am – 6pm Monday – Saturday.

We now have a date time and place for the next Sports Team Class. October 22, 2011 at Daytona Metaphysics and Bookstore at 10am. The cost is $65 and you receive 4 hands on CE’s. If you would like to attend this class, please contact Adan our Sports Team Captain at 386-295-4846. By taking this class, you are eligible to join the Sports Team. Also, by joining the Sports Team, you can sign up to go to Miami on October 29 and 30 for the Ironman Triathlon.
